Hey All! This is my trailer for the Religion and Media project that I'm working on this semester for my Mediated Culture class. Stay tuned! There's more to come.
Hope that got you excited for this project because I know I am! I'm looking forward to digging deeper into how the Christian Church is using new media and finding specific cases, while also trying to discover whether or not this is the trend, or rather the exception to the rule. I also want to see whether the use of new media is effective for the Church, and religion in general. Why or why not? If the Church truly wants to affect our generation, is this (being media) something it should invest in, or is it a waste of time? What do believers & non-believers think of the Church "plugging in"?... still uncertain of exactly where this project will go, but those are some of the questions I'm hoping we'll answer.
